'FLUIDIC SCULPTURE' DESIGN

The all-new Accent boasts a distinctive and futuristic exterior based on Hyundai’s ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design philosophy, with a muscular presence and sweeping curves that create a sense of constant motion. The hexagonal-shaped grille also clearly marks the all-new Accent as a new-generation Hyundai.

SEDAN STYLING

With its distinctive modern and athletic outline, the all-new Accent Sedan combines increased length and a shortened front overhang with a low roofline and sloping rear window line, to create a stylish and sporty, dynamic coupe-like appearance.

HATCH STYLING

Fluidic sculpture lines deliver a robust and sporty appearance. Rear vertical combination lights strengthen the aesthetic appeal, as does the frameless rear window, which also enhances visibility for the driver.

SIDE REPEATER MIRRORS

Sculpted to blend seamlessly with the vehicle, outside mirrors with LED side repeaters not only add a touch of luxury, but enhance safety by providing greater visibility of your turning intention.

WHEEL AND TYRE DESIGN

The all-new Accent comes with a choice of wheel and tyre packages, dependent on the variant. Full size spare wheels in the same style are standard inclusions. The Active comes with 14" steel wheels with 175/70 R14 tyres, while the Elite and Premium come with 16" alloy wheels with 195/50 R16 tyres.

The Accent interior is ultra modern and ergonomic - pleasing to the eye and easy to use. There's more living space with the new Accent! The longer wheel base has meant more shoulder and leg room for both front and rear occupants.

The audio system allows hands-free use of your mobile phone and enables you to stream music directly from your Bluetooth®# compatible mobile phone or media device.

ELECTRO-CHROMATIC MIRROR

The interior mirror has an electro-chromatic device that automatically dims when it senses headlight glare from following vehicles. (Premium only).

SEATS

Comfortable and well upholstered with adjustable headrest, sliding armrest and height adjustable (driver). Rear seats have 60/40 split for extra storage space.

HIGH CAPACITY LUGGAGE SPACE

With a capacity of 389L (SAE standard), the all-new Accent sedan has one of the highest luggage spaces in its class.

DUAL ZONE AUTO CLIMATE CONTROL

The dual zone climate control system (Premium only) lets the driver select one climate control setting and the front seat passenger choose another, with the system ensuring a comfortable climate is maintained for everyone on board. Elite and Active feature an easy-to-use manual air conditioner with 4-speed airflow controls.

VERSATILITY AND SPACIOUSNESS

The flexibility of 60/40 folding rear seats means that through-loading or split loads don’t compromise safety or comfort. Plus with a longer wheelbase, there’s even more room for cargo.

PROXIMITY SMART KEY AND PUSH BUTTON START

Proximity key technology enables you to unlock and lock the all-new Accent without taking the key from your pocket – something you’ll really appreciate when your arms are full, or when you’re rushing to escape inclement weather. Turning on the engine is as easy as pushing the start button – there’s no need to insert a key. (Premium only).

KEYLESS ENTRY

The folding key fob conveniently incorporates separate remote control buttons for locking and unlocking the doors and releasing the tailgate. (Active and Elite).

PERFORMANCE

FUEL EFFICIENCY / AERODYNAMICS

The all-new Accent has been designed and engineered to provide power with fuel efficiency. The lightweight Gamma 1.6L engine uses continuously variable valve timing (CVVT) to deliver the precise air-fuel mixture required to meet engine demands and minimise fuel consumption. This, coupled with an aerodynamic body that minimises the coefficient of drag, adds up to a remarkable performance.

GAMMA 1.6 CVVT PETROL ENGINE

The all-new Accent’s Gamma 1.6 CVVT engine utilises an aluminium block, low friction moving parts and CVVT technology to deliver up to 91kW of power at 6,300rpm while producing 156Nm of torque at 4200rpm. Combined fuel consumption is a low 6.0L/100km (manual) and 6.4L/100km (automatic)*.

TRANSMISSIONS

Hyundai has engineered the all-new Accent’s transmissions so that they do not require servicing under normal driving conditions. The new ergonomic 5-speed Manual transmission includes a redesigned reverse gear selection for easier operation. The Automatic transmission features HiVec (Hyundai intelligent Vehicle Electronic control), with overdrive and lock-up converter, that adapts to your driving style. It also offers a sports mode for more dynamic driving.

COMFORTABLE RIDE AND AGILE HANDLING

To provide maximum ride comfort, the all-new Accent’s suspension and steering has been specifically tuned to meet Australia’s unique road conditions. The long wheelbase of the new Accent contributes to a smooth ride with enhanced stability. Comprehensive use of sealing and sound muffling materials ensures a quite, refined drive.

SAFETY

MAXIMUM 5-STAR ANCAP SAFETY

The all-new Accent is proud to have attained an ANCAP 5 star rating, the highest for a motor vehicle in Australia. Equipped with a wide range of active and passive safety measures designed to help avoid accidents and minimise the effects of a collision. The all-new Accent features 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC incorporating TCS and Vehicle Stability Management (VSM).

PASSIVE SAFETY - ALL ROUND PROTECTION

The all-new Accent provides a high level of structural safety through the use of high tensile-strength steel, side intrusion beams and the integration of a Collision Load Dispersion mechanism that distributes the force of an impact in three ways to minimize floor deformation and maintain the integrity of the cabin. Overall chassis stiffness has been improved by 18%.

SIX AIRBAG SAFETY

The six airbag system consists of driver and front passenger side thorax airbags as well as curtain airbags for front and rear seat passengers.

ACTIVE SAFETY - ABS WITH EBD

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) enhances safety under emergency braking situations by preventing your brakes from locking up and distributing braking force according to your vehicle’s load.

ESC INCORPORATING TCS

In an emergency manoeuvre, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) helps keep the vehicle on track, while Hyundai’s Traction Control System (TCS) monitors your grip, reducing wheel spin so that you can accelerate on slippery or uneven road surfaces.

VEHICLE STABILITY MANAGEMENT (VSM)

The all-new Accent features the advanced safety of Vehicle Stability Management (VSM). This state-of-the-art technology helps maintain control of the vehicle by applying counter-steering assistance, guiding the driver to the correct steering direction. This innovative safety technology combines the intelligence of Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Motor-Driven electric Power Steering (MDPS) to help maintain the correct steering position in instances where the driver reacts too slowly or tries to steer in the incorrect direction to maintain vehicle control.

REAR VIEW CAMERA

When you are reversing, a camera built into the rear boot/hatch handle of the all-new Accent displays the area behind the vehicle on an LCD screen that’s integrated into the rear-view mirror. (Premium only).

REVERSE PARK ASSIST

Body-coloured sensors mounted on the rear bumper enhance safety while reversing by sounding an audible alarm when an obstacle is detected. (Premium only).

HALO – PERSONAL SECURITY

To avoid unwanted entry whilst you are in the car, the all-new Accent offers extra personal security through the speed-activated Hyundai Active Locking Operation (HALO) system, which locks all the doors while you are driving, and then unlocks them once the key is removed from the ignition. Front seat occupants can override the system to easily exit the car.

An authorised Hyundai Dealer can independently deactivate HALO feature.
